On Memorial Day, each year since 1945, Depoe Bay has hosted the FLEET OF FLOWERS. This colorful ceremony is recognized as one of the most impressive observances held in the United States.  http://www.fleetofflowers.org .

Spring Break time is here - Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!

The annual Wooden Boat show, Crab Feed and Ducky Derby in Depoe Bay will be April 17 & 18.  This was so much fun last year we can’t wait to see all the boats in the parking lot just outside our inn.

The annual Fleet of Flowers is coming May 31st.  Last year was our first and it is without doubt our favorite celebration of the year.  The ceremony takes place in the Harbor parking lot right next to the inn.  The decorated boat in the harbor are fantastic as is the procession out to the ocean where they form a large circle waiting for the Coast Guard helicopter to come out, lower a man on cable to place the first wreath.  Then all the boat captains start placing the wreaths that decorate their boats.

I will be doing a barbeque on the deck, menu to be determined, on Sunday the 30th for all our guests.

on this holiday.  Unfortunately, as I am under-
going radiation therapy, I probably will not be

After Dinner we will watch the Times Square New Year’s celebration on the big screen in the lounge.

On New Year’s day we will have football and especially the Rose Bowl on the Big Screen as well.

The 4th of July weekend is also full except for 2 rooms and the condo.  This will be a fun weekend with the Depoe Bay fireworks happening on Friday the 3rd.  I will do a reasonably priced BBQ on the deck on the 4th.

July 11th will be tha annual “Cruise in to Drive Out Hunger“.  This is a classic car show that is a lot of fun with activities going on all day.
